Reformed Theology 1 Corinthians 5:11 Calvinism
1 Corinthians 5:11

I've been considering this verse lately. Here, Paul rebukes the church in Corinth for praising the actions of a man caught up in sexual immorality, telling them not to even eat with such a man. This of course implies church discipline, however I'm wondering how to apply this to my personal relationships. For example, there is one guy in my group of friends who is Christian, but does not hide the fact that he has sex with his girlfriend. He goes to a different church than me, one that the church I attend split from. He knows I don't approve. Am I obligated to remove myself from this friend group because of this, or is the fact that he goes to a different church enough distancing from his actions?

Thoughts on this? Anyone else been in a similar situation?
