Getting into church history: any v recommendations on resources?

Hi r/reformed! Last week I listened through 4 hours of lecture on early church history, just an overview through the reaffirmation of the Nycean Creed in the late 4th century. I was really interested to hear about Melito of Sardis, Clement, and Mathetes, who all wrote letters that give us insight to what early church people believed, and how theologically rich their understanding was! I already bought a copy of The Epistle of Mathetes to Diognetius.

But I'd like to keep learning about church history. Knowing what ignatius and augustin believed, the controversies that were a challenge for the church like the Arian heresy… basically I want to know how doctrines crept up, were argued over, and other things that might strengthen and encourage our walks today.
