How does one become saved, if you do not use the Sinner’s prayer?

In our Church we say the Sinner's prayer and ask Jesus to give us a new heart and remove the heart of stone.

We usually cite this verse: Romans 10:9-10 (KJV):

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Isn't this the biblical way of salvation? If not what is?
