I've seen in my life where liberals lambast Christians for preaching against sin as the bible has described it. According to some of them, we hate everyone who isn't us. And I have also seen some conservatives in my life lambast Christians over loving their neighbors or caring for the poor. They'll say "Oh, they just got themselves in that situation". And maybe they did. But conservatives too will criticize Christians for just doing what the bible says.

I think it just goes to show that God isn't about this or that, or even somewhere in between. He's something else entirely. Your faulty political views will at some point fail, and all that trust you heaped up on them will backfire and leave you with nothing. It's sad seeing so many people buy in to conservatism, liberalism, libertarianism, or whatever, as if it's some sort of doctrine that will set the world right if everyone else just comes to the same conclusion they did. But really, everyone misses the point.
