Question about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit

OK, so I have a question, as the title suggests about the Holy Spirit. I know my position on this and I'm not looking for a debate, but I am curious about how common a particular position is. I'm a member of a tradition (churches of Christ/Stone-Campbell Movement) that is about 50-50 split in their position on how the Spirit indwells a believer. Some people believe the Spirit dwells in a believer exclusively through the Bible, and myself and others believe it to be that the Spirit literally dwells in a believer. This causes a lot of debate between people in my tradition, so here's my question: how common is the belief that the Spirit indwells people through the Bible exclusively? As far as my knowledge goes, it seems to be a fairly rare position outside of the Stone-Campbell movement, but I've also not done much research into the matter directly. I figured I'd put my question here because this subreddit has treated me so well in the past and there's a wide variety of voices represented.
