When looking at the Catholic belief of apostolic succession, they obviously blew the idea of Peter being the messenger of Christ out of proportion but as a reformed believer, do we still believe that in Matt 16:18, Jesus was referring to Peter? Or is there another interpretation as if the "rock" Jesus refers to is Himself or the HS guiding Peter?
