I've been a minister for 15+ years and much of that was in a confessional Presbyterian context, yet I've never noticed the end of this section on "Effectual Calling."

"Elect infants, dying in infancy, are regenerated, and saved by Christ, through the Spirit, who works when, and where, and how He pleases: so also are all other elect persons who are incapable of being outwardly called by the ministry of the Word."

Has anyone ever argued for a possibility of a significant number of unevangelized being elect? Though I'm sympathetic to the idea, this seems rather speculative for Westminster.
