I'm not asking about the belief itself. I'm more interested in the history of the idea – where it first came from, and specifically in how it seems to have moved beyond certain niche pockets to become a not-uncommon concept in evangelicalism as a whole.

It's one of those things where you're researching something and you find something else you want to research but you don't have the time to pursue both, so I'm curious if anyone else knows anything about it.

Not technically related to Reformed theology outside of the fact that the idea of a Jezebel spirit and every single theological implication that carries is completely antithetical to Reformed theology even in the broadest sense, but this sub tends to have better discussion than the mothersub or TC.
